The WRC-27 impulse to bolster regulatory resources to perform sea surface temperature measurements "will complement, and not replace" use of the upper 6 GHz band, Italy repeated in late reaction to the draft EC mandate to CEPT, a concern shared by Austria. Separately, the European Commission "proposed" to avoid in the draft mandate to CEPT a prejudgement on the suitability of 7750 to 8400 MHz for a wireless broadband service, comments tallied in response to a Sept. 12 version of the draft mandate said.
